If you’ve ever wanted more value for your Amex Membership Rewards points, this could be the deal you’ve been waiting for. The issuer just announced cardholders can get up to a 40 percent boost in points value with a dozen transfer partners for both hotel and airline accommodations.

When redeemed strategically, transfer bonuses can help you get more value out of your rewards. This new offer from American Express could substantially increase your rewards value depending on the loyalty program you transfer points to. Here’s what you need to know about this deal.
