Alternatives to Citizens Bank personal loans

Best Egg offers personal loans ranging from $2,000 to $50,000. Loan terms range from three to five years. To qualify, you need to have a credit score of at least 700 and a debt-to-income (DTI) ratio below 30 percent. If approved, you can receive funds as soon as one business day.
LightStream is a viable option if you have a strong credit score. The interest rates are among some of the lowest on the market, and the lender will beat any competitor’s rate by 0.1 percentage points if it’s for the same loan product. There are no origination or prepayment penalties, and you have the option option to defer the loan disbursement for up to 30 days.
TD Bank offers personal loans ranging from $2,000 to $50,000 with a competitive APR range and no origination fees or prepayment fees. Loan terms range from three to five years. If you’re approved, funds can be deposited into your bank account as soon as the next business day. But a downside is that TD personal loans are only available in 16 states, plus the District of Columbia.
Why doesn’t Citizens Bank offer personal loans anymore?
Citizens Bank hasn’t disclosed why it stopped offering personal loans. When we contacted its customer service team, though, a representative told us it’s possible that Citizens may offer personal loans again in the future.
That said, Citizens Bank offers a variety of other types of loans that might fit your borrowing needs, including home loans, auto loans and student loans.
