Business owners who spend big on mobile phone service, gas and office supplies can save big with unlimited 3% cash-back rewards on the U.S. Bank Business Edge Cash Rewards World Elite Mastercard. This is the only card we know of that offers high category rewards without a spending cap.
That being said, we didn’t give this card a particularly high grade. There’s one big reason: Like some top business credit cards, Business Edge Cash Rewards does offer a sign-up bonus. But we favor cards that offer some enticement. The cards that win the highest marks from us offer upward of $500 after meeting certain spending requirements.
The best thing about the U.S. Bank Business Edge Cash Rewards World Elite MasterCard is the unlimited earning potential. Most business credit cards set a spending cap on the highest cash-back rewards categories, but not this one.
And there’s no annual fee. There’s also a nice 25% annual bonus of your prior year’s rewards. Employees also get free cards, but the main cardholder accrues the rewards. Ka-ching.
If the lack of a bonus bothers you, consider this: The unlimited cash-back rewards may be worth more in the long run than a first-year sign-up bonus, especially if your business spends heavily on gas, office supplies and cell phones. We still think this is a card worth considering if it aligns with your spending patterns.
We also love the included business management tools and Mastercard Elite perks. But big thumbs-down to a few of this card’s less desirable attributes. The foreign transaction fee means this card isn’t a smart choice for international travel. We also wish there was airport lounge access included.

How this card compares
Of course, this card is only a great choice if your spending habits align with the rewards categories of this card. If most of your spending is on office supplies or gas, for example, you may be better off with U.S. Bank’s Business Edge Cash Rewards World Elite MasterCard.
The only reasons to shy away from this card would be if your work requires significant overseas travel or if your biggest expenses don’t match up with the bigger cash-back savings categories.
