Texas Gov. Rick Perry and his wife, Anita, live in a rental mansion in Estates Above Lost Creek, a gated community. The house has 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 half-baths and a heated pool. The rent costs taxpayers about $8,500 a month after the rent was reduced from about $10,000 when the Perrys first moved in. Perry has lived in the property since October 2007, while the official governor’s residence undergoes renovations after a fire damaged it.
