Kim Fulscher attended the University of Florida and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in Asian studies. While at UF, she was a reporter and copy desk chief at The Independent Florida Alligator, and she spent a summer studying abroad in China. After freelancing in multimedia, photography and reporting at The Fort Myers News-Press in 2008, she moved to Switzerland to work and learn German for six months.

She returned to the journalism world afterward and gained experience at Atlantic Publishing Group as a project manager/editor for instructional books. At The Palm Beach Post, Kim copy edited stories and wrote headlines. Throughout these opportunities, she kept up experience in creating multimedia, writing for a magazine and editing on a freelance basis. She took a short course on HTML basics and plans to learn more about the subject.

Kim arrived at Bankrate as a copy editor in September 2010, and she sometimes writes articles for the website. She is in the market to adopt a puppy and has healthy addictions to running, learning languages and drinking coffee.
