Best cash back credit card bonus offers

When shopping for a new credit card, it’s tempting to choose a card with flashy travel perks. Who doesn’t enjoy premium airport lounge access? But as enticing as travel perks like free TSA PreCheck memberships are, if you’re not a travel buff, you may get a lot more use out of straight up cash back rewards. Even though cash back credit cards may seem less exciting at first glance, they can provide a lot of value to cardholders.

Cash back cards can save you time thanks to their simple redemption process. You won’t have to worry about blackout dates or navigating a long list of complicated rules just to be able to access your rewards. To redeem your cash back, all you have to do is request your distribution mode of choice, whether that be via a statement credit, direct deposit into your bank account or a check.

Wait—it gets better. Many cash back credit cards offer limited-time cash bonuses to new cardholders. If you’re looking for a new credit card, here are some of the best cash back credit card sign-up bonuses available right now.

Best cards with a flat cash back bonus

The bottom line

Earning cash back with a credit card is great. Earning an extra cash bonus after opening a new card is even better. You’ll have to decide if a credit card with flat-rate cash back rewards for all purchases or one that offers rotating bonus categories every quarter is a better fit for you.

Either way, it’s important to remember to not let exciting welcome offers encourage you to spend more than you can afford to pay off in time just to earn that welcome reward. Interest charges may very well cancel out the benefits of a welcome bonus.
