Survey: Fewer Than Half of Americans Plan to Travel This Summer; Cost is a Major Concern

According to a new Bankrate survey, only 46 percent of U.S. adults are planning to travel this summer. Among non-travelers, 65 percent say high costs are keeping them home, but nearly a quarter say they simply lack an interest in traveling right now.
