National CD rates for Feb. 9, 2012

This week brings minimal changes to rates on certificates of deposit.

For the eighth week in a row, the average one-year CD yield is 0.34 percent. The average five-year yield is 1.16 percent.

For deposits of $100,000, the average one-year jumbo CD yield is unchanged at 0.37 percent. The yield on a five-year jumbo CD is up 1 basis point to 1.19 percent. A basis point is one-hundredth of 1 percentage point.

The average money market account yield is 0.13 percent for the eighth week.
