By law, you’ll have received all of the documents you need to submit your tax return by January 31, 2022.
While the tax deadline is April 15, 2022, you can request a six-month extension by filing what’s called a “Form 4868.”
The sooner you submit your tax return, the faster you’ll receive your refund (if you’re eligible for one).
