Rates on certificates of deposit were unchanged in this week's survey, save for those with five-year maturities.

The average one-year CD yield was 0.34 percent for the fifth consecutive week. The average five-year yield lost the basis point gained last week and went back to 1.16 percent. A basis point is one-hundredth of 1 percentage point.

For deposits of $100,000, the average one-year jumbo CD yield was 0.37 percent for the second week. For the five-year jumbo CD, the average yield remained 1.19 percent.

For the fifth week in a row, the average money market account yield was 0.13 percent.
