Remember last year when the CD rate chart mostly resembled a flat line? This may seem familiar.

The average one-year CD yield is unchanged at 0.34 percent for the third week in a row. The average five-year yield gained 1 basis point to 1.16 percent. A basis point is one-hundredth of 1 percentage point.


For deposits of $100,000, the average one-year jumbo CD yield remains 0.38 percent. For the five-year jumbo CD, the average yield is 1.19 percent.

For the third consecutive week, the average money market account yield is 0.13 percent.
