  • 14.56% (all variable)

Credit card rates stayed steady this week, according to Bankrate's latest survey of interest rates. The average annual percentage rate, or APR, for variable-rate credit cards remained at 14.56 percent for the third week in a row. The fixed rate was unchanged at 13.71 percent, where it has been since late October.

The rate at which credit card issuers write off an account as uncollectible rose to 5.38 percent in November from 5.21 percent the previous month, according to the most recent stats from Moody's Investors Service. The firm said last week that the increase reflects a typical seasonal rise in the charge-off rate, which remains more than 3 percentage points below the level in the previous year.

The percentage of credit card holders who were at least 30 days delinquent hit a record low of 3.03 percent in November.
