More credit card companies joined Google Wallet, an application from the search engine giant that turns a cellphone into a payment vehicle. Visa, Discover and American Express cards will be added to future versions of the app, Google said Monday.

MasterCard has been a part of the virtual wallet since the beginning, when Google announced the venture in May with the card company, as well as Citi, First Data and Sprint. Google on Monday also rolled out the first version of an app for Sprint Nexus S4G cellphone users.
