  • You can earn up to 5 percent cash back in popular categories that change each quarter, such as department stores, hotels, home improvement and more. Enrollment required. Bonus cash back earned is included in your $300 annual maximum accumulation.
  • Unless you are participating in a limited-time promotional offer, you will earn 1 percent on purchases. You will earn 1 percent on cash advances and cash convenience check amounts billed at the standard cash-advance rate. You will receive 5 dividend dollars for each individual balance-transfer transaction of $1,500 or more. Limited promotional offers do not apply to personal banking transactions you make using your card. So you will earn only 1 percent on these transactions.
  • Unless the offer you received indicates otherwise, you may accumulate a maximum of 300 dividend dollars in any calendar year (eligible transactions appearing on your January-December billing statements) payable in checks of $50 increments only upon your request. Dividend dollars earned on purchases through the Citi Bonus cash center are not subject to the $300 calendar year maximum accumulation.
  • Dividend dollars will not expire as long as you have qualifying purchase activity at least once every 12 months unless the Citi Dividend Card Reward Program is terminated in which case you will have only 30 days to request redemption of your eligible dividend dollars.

*The cash-back ratio lists the rate or rate of returns offered on transactions.

Bankrate.com examined 54 cash-back cards from 21 of the largest issuers. The survey was conducted April 8-18, 2013. Rewards are subject to change. Check with the institution for the latest information.
