New trucks, SUVs debut as sales heat up

With gas prices remaining low, Americans are once again shopping for pickup trucks and SUVs, and automakers are happy to keep these high-margin vehicles coming. There was no shortage of trucks and "sport-utes" at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Here are 5 from the auto show that you'll soon be able to park in your driveway.

2017 Honda Ridgeline

2017 Honda Ridgeline | Honda

Features: Unibody construction, comfortably seats 5, trunk and audio system inside pickup bed with a 4-foot-wide flat-bed space. Options include tri-zone climate control, leather seats and 8-inch display audio touchscreen.

Performance: 3.5-liter, direct-injected V-6 mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission; available in either front- or all-wheel-drive.

On Sale: First half of 2016.

2016 Infiniti QX60

2016 Infiniti QX60 | Infiniti

Features: Redesigned exterior features Q50-style front end and taillights. New safety systems include Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and Predictive Forward Collision Warning.

Performance: Choice of a 265-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 or a hybrid powertrain that pairs a supercharged, 2.5-liter, inline 4-cylinder with an electric motor to produce 250 horsepower.

On Sale: Late winter 2016.

2016 Buick Envision

Features: Tri-zone climate control with rear seat controls, heated front and rear seats, as well as steering wheel, available cooled front seats, sliding 60/40-split rear seat provides more legroom for 2nd-row occupants.

Performance: 252 horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with stop/start technology to improve fuel economy.

On Sale: 2nd quarter 2016.

Features: Choice of 5-, 6- or 7-occupant seating, 2nd row seat can slide and tilt forward even with a forward-facing child seat installed, and rear seat alert reminds driver when item is left in the 2nd or 3rd row to prevent leaving children in vehicle.

Performance: Choice of 2 new engines: a 2.5-liter inline 4 or a 3.6-liter V-6.

On Sale: Spring 2016.

2017 Ford F-150 Raptor SuperCrew

Features: Wheelbase is 12 inches longer than the standard Raptor SuperCab, with 4 full-size doors providing rear passengers with more legroom and comfort, as well as more space to stow gear.

Performance: 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine produces more power with greater efficiency than the current 6.2-liter V8.

On Sale: Fall 2016.
