Acura RLIIHS Top Safety Pick

Named as a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Acura RL rated "good," the group's highest rating, in front-, side- and rear-impact tests. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it five stars in all of its tests -- encompassing front impact tests for the driver and passenger sides, side-impact tests for front and rear occupants, and in rollover tests. Standard safety features on the Acura RL include front and side-impact airbags for front seat occupants, side-curtain airbags that protect both rows, anti-lock brakes, active front head restraints, electronic stability and traction control. Acura also offers its Collision Mitigation Braking System, which uses radar to detect a potential collision, warn the driver and apply the brakes and tighten the seat belts if necessary. Go »
Hyundai GenesisIIHS Top Safety Pick

In crash tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Hyundai Genesis received a "good" rating, the highest rating possible, in front-, side- and rear-impact tests. In addition, the organization named it a Top Safety Pick. The Genesis received five stars in all of its tests by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration including front-impact tests for the driver and passenger sides, side- impact tests for front and rear occupants and in rollover tests. Introduced for 2009, Hyundai's full-size sedan comes standard with side-impact airbags for the front and rear seats, side-curtain airbags that cover both rows, active front head restraints, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist and electronic stability control. Audi A45 stars for frontal & side impact

Audi's smallest sedan received five stars in all of the crash tests conducted by the National Highway Safety Administration, including those front-impact tests for the driver and passenger sides, side-impact tests for front and rear occupants, and in rollover tests. It also scored the highest rating possible, "good," in front-, side- and rear-impact tests of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The entry-level luxury car was redesigned for 2009 and features front and side-impact airbags for front seat occupants, side-curtain airbags that protect both rows, anti-lock brakes and active front head restraints as standard equipment. Available features include a backup camera and Audi Side Assist, which warns drivers when another vehicle is in the A4's blindspot. Go »
