2016 Lexus RX
Lexus pulled back the curtain on the RX, the best-selling model in the brand's history. Featuring a bolder overall look, the 2016 RX has a new front end with the Lexus spindle grille that extends from the hood to the front bumper. Triple L-shaped LED headlights are available. From the side, blacked-out C-pillars make the roof look like it's floating, while a more chiseled rear end features LED L-shaped taillights that wrap around the sides of the SUV.
On the inside, a retractable power panorama moonroof is available, while rear-seat passengers get increased leg and knee space in heated seats. They also might enjoy a new rear-seat entertainment system with 11.6-inch dual screens located in the back of the front headrests.
The 3.5-liter V-6 has been upgraded to produce 300 horsepower via a direct-injection system, while a new eight-speed automatic transmission helps improve fuel economy. The RX has improved handling and decreased road noise, thanks to a stiffer body structure. For the first time, an F Sport model will be available, featuring special styling enhancements and more high-performance technology.
The automaker did not announce a sale date or pricing. The 2015 Lexus RX starts at $40,970.
