A new Porsche 911 GT3 RS with more power and a host of body and suspension improvements will go on sale early next spring. Track-ready and street-legal, the striking GT3 RS is the most dynamic 911 model to date. Key to its persona is a 3.8-liter, six-cylinder engine. It delivers 450 horsepower -- 15 more than its 911 GT3 counterpart -- and comes exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission that has been engineered for short gearshift travel, lower weight and high efficiency. Dynamic engine mounts are standard and serve to elevate the GTS RS's handling to an even higher level. The GT3 RS will be available with an optional lithium-ion battery that reduces the car's weight by 22 pounds. To further enhance its sporting nature, the GT3 RS comes with the standard Porsche Active Suspension Management, or PASM, system, a wider front and rear track and sportier bodywork.
