Mazda CX-9
| The Mazda CX-9 received terrific marks in crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which ranked it five stars in all its front and side impact tests and gave it a rollover rating of four stars. It also scored well in front- and side- impact tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, or IIHS, receiving the highest rating of "good." While the IIHS rated it only "marginal" in its rear impact tests, the CX-9 still rates substantially better than the industry average according to statistical analysis by InformedForLife.org. Standard safety features include front and side-impact airbags for front seat occupants, side-curtain airbags that protect all three rows, anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control with rollover stability control. << Back to comparison | |
