Mitt Romney's home

Mitt Romney and his wife, Ann, own two mansions and a town house. In total, they cost almost $16 million.

Romney filed plans to quadruple the size with a two-story house in La Jolla. Since then, Romney has said he plans to double, not quadruple, the size of the house.

Other homes owned by Romney: A lakefront summer home on 11 acres facing Lake Winnipesaukee off Claflin Lane in Wolfeboro, N.H., bought for $3 million in 1997 and more recently valued at about $10 million. The Romneys recently bought a town house for $895,000 in Woodlands at Belmont Hill, a luxury development in Belmont, Mass.
