How Kelly Ripa’s net worth was built

Actress and talk show host Kelly Ripa — now co-hosting with Ryan Seacrest on the long-running daytime TV show “Live” — acquired an interest in arts and entertainment when she was very young. She studied ballet as a child and by age 19 was working as a dancer on a TV show called “Dance Party USA.” In college, she starting acting in community theater. Her break into showbiz came when she landed a role on the ABC daytime drama “All My Children.”

After making a name for herself on the soap, Ripa continued to appear on other TV shows, including the sitcom “Hope and Faith.” In 2000, she was selected to replace Kathie Lee Gifford as Regis Philbin’s co-host of a popular morning talk show. “Live! With Regis and Kelly” lasted until 2011, when Philbin left. Ripa kept her seat and brought on a new co-host, former NFL player Michael Strahan, who stayed four years. After a long search for a replacement for Strahan, Ripa announced this week that Seacrest is her new partner on the program.
