Manager Ad Operations

The primary responsibility of this Ad Ops position is to manage ad campaigns and assist the sales team in achieving the company's financial and sales goals.

To be successful in this position, an individual must develop a deep understanding of our website and be comfortable working with data sets and technology in order to proactively identify campaign issues and recommend optimization strategies and best practices.

This role requires creative troubleshooting, comfort with reporting technologies, and the ability to clearly communicate campaign recommendations. The Ad Ops position will be responsible for working closely with the Ad Ops and Sales team.

This position can be in our NYC or NPB (FL) office.


  • Promote efficient workflow and best practices
  • Develop campaign management strategies that are aligned with business priorities, client strategies, timelines and goals
  • Combine data analysis and client feedback to configure, operate and optimize campaigns to meet client objectives
  • Oversee set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign
  • Lead the monitoring and reporting of campaign performance and proactively communicate any issues to internal team
  • Use data and analytics to help develop actionable media improvement recommendations to internal teams to maximize campaign success

  • Optimizing Ad Campaigns
  • Reviewing sales proposals for digital ad inventory accuracy and potential challenges, managing daily inventory requests from Sales
  • Utilizing order management & reporting systems, providing recommendations to Sales questions
  • Creation of custom campaign performance reports
  • Reviewing web analytic data to identify trends
  • Providing periodic operational reports, including ad traffic, sales, ad and cpc revenue, co-brand partner views/visit and clicks
  • Extensive interaction with the sales team, sales support team and accounting departments

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent and experience within Ad Ops including monitoring and managing the delivery of campaigns, managing ad inventory, and working on ad serving systems.

Bankrate operates a network of personal finance related web sites for consumers, with the core site being  Our sites provide high-quality information and services using a variety of advertising and monetization methods.  We serve advertisers by providing highly qualified and targeted in-market consumers.

As a Telesales Executive for, you will prospect and develop relationships with clients in order to grow our ad revenues for our cost-per-click rate tables and display advertising.  The advertising base is in large part mortgage and banking institutions, with some insurance, credit card lenders, as well as automotive. The successful candidate for this important role must possess a blend of business and online savvy and a track record of success in online sales.


  • Aggressively build sales pipeline via cold calling quality lists covering assigned territories

Senior Manager of Content Marketing

Location: North Palm Beach, FL or Manhattan, NY office

Bankrate is seeking a Senior Manager of Content Marketing to steer our content marketing program through content creation, distribution, promotion and amplification. We're looking for someone who is strategic, but also likes to roll up his or her sleeves and execute. The Senior Manager of Content Marketing will be hands-on, working closely with the Editorial, Design, SEO, Social, Multimedia, and other teams to set our strategy as well as participate in tactical execution -- all with the end goal of producing outstanding content that is highly sharable, brings visitors to the website, and ultimately drives incremental revenue. We're looking for an experienced content marketer with a swath of demonstrable expertise and success in the following areas: content strategy, content creation/writing, distribution/promotion, organic traffic generation, and lead generation, with a mind for quantitative measurement of content success. This position can be in our North Palm Beach, FL or Manhattan, NY office. (Local candidates only.)

The ideal candidate

  • Managed a content marketing budget and is comfortable proving ROI through analytics.
  • Takes a no-holds barred approach to content success: the content produced is designed to capture leads and prospects and help move them through the funnel toward revenue generation.
  • Frequents the major content marketing publications; has limitless imagination for doing what hasn't been done before.
  • Very hands-on, rolls up his/her sleeves; comfortable copy-editing, and optimizing content for SEO as well as seeing the content that's been produced all the way through the distribution and amplification phase.

Key Job Functions

  • Create new, innovative, differentiated content and features that drive virility; attract visitors to the website through content creation and sharing, community management, and other organic channels.  Define what content needs to be created, for which audiences, when, how often and via which channels. 
  • Drive a successful content marketing strategy that includes: content planning, messaging and branding, content creation, curation, delivery, and amplification. This includes building and promoting content across multiple platforms/formats to drive awareness, engagement, leads, retention and positive customer behavior.

Bankrate, Inc. is looking to hire a Corporate Financial Reporting Manager, based out of our New York City Office.


  • CPA with public and private experience, minimum 8 to 10 years.
  • Experience in a public company
  • SEC reporting experience in preparing10-K/10-Q and related footnotes.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and thorough understanding with requirements of SEC filings as will be expected to pull information for all footnotes, disclosures and MD&A.

Customer Service Representative

Reports to the Customer Service Manager and works closely with the Graphics and Sales departments as needed. This position is based out of our Chicago Office.


  • Collect mortgage and financial information for each advertiser of assigned rate guides by the assigned deadline time/day.
  • Place outgoing "reminder" telephone calls/emails to any advertisers who have not submitted their information prior to the deadline time and/or to clarify any questions regarding submitted information in order to obtain complete, accurate information for the guide.
  • Proofread copies of the guides furnished by the Graphics department and make corrections as needed.  Ensure that an accurate, complete rate guide is ready for the Graphics department to forward to the appropriate newspaper by the assigned deadline time/day.
  • Maintain filing/copies of final rate guides.
  • Handle all incoming calls from advertisers and consumers, and assist with any questions and/or concerns.
  • Maintain and update customer information on
  • Investigate any errors/complaints from advertisers and determine if a credit should be issued.  Forward all credit recommendations to the Customer Service Manager.
  • Cross-train in other areas of department; overview of all other rate directory handling/procedures in order to serve as back-up to other department members, as needed, to complete department workload by the assigned deadline time/day.
