Grace period: 25 days
Perks: Interest-free purchases at Kmart Store and Bluelight.com for six months
Fees: Late fees, over-the-limit and returned check fees of $25
Penalty rates: All non-introductory rates (APRs) may be changed to a fixed rate of 25.9 percent if an account is between 1 and 29 days past due twice in any six-month period or an account is 30 or more days past due at any time. These changes will take place within two billing periods of the delinquency.
Card may be used: Anywhere that accepts MasterCard

Wal-Mart MasterCard
Issuer: Chase Manhattan
APR for purchases: 13.48 percent, 16.48 percent or 21.48 percent.
APR for balance transfers: fixed 9.9 percent on transfers made within nine months of opening the account.
Grace period: not less than 22 days
Fees: Late fees, over-the-limit fees of $29
Penalty rates: If fail to make minimum payment, regular purchase APR will be applied to balance transfers. Purchase APR may be increased to as much as 24.49 percent if the credit limit on the account is exceeded or a cardholder fails to make the minimum payment on the Wal-Mart MasterCard or any other credit account.

Grace period: 28 to 31 days from closing date depending on calendar month

Fees: Late fees of $20
