How Harry Styles’ net worth was built
Harry Styles built his net worth using his vocal talents: Fans know him best as the youngest member of the boy band One Direction. He joined the group in 2011 and has enjoyed international fame as a result.
Styles began singing at a young age. While in school, he formed a band called White Eskimo, which won a local “battle of the bands” competition. At 16, he auditioned as a soloist for the U.K. edition of the talent competition show, “The X Factor,” but he was cut before making it to the finals. However, the judges decided to team him with rival singers Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson to perform together for the remainder of the competition, and while the group placed third, they landed a recording contract with Simon Cowell’s label.
The guys became known as One Direction and released their first album, “Up All Night,” in 2011. They released four more albums in the four years that followed and have had six U.S. top 10 singles, including “What Makes You Beautiful.” Additionally, they’ve headlined four tours in support of their albums. The group has been so successful that Harry Styles’ net worth was estimated at $50 million as of July 2017, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
