Rates on certificates of deposit ticked down for most maturities in this week's rate survey except for the average one-year CD.

The average one-year CD yield is 0.32 percent for the fourth consecutive week. Down 1 basis point, the average five-year CD yield is now 1.1 percent. A basis point is one-hundredth of 1 percent.

Large deposits of about $100,000 typically qualify for better rates. But jumbo CDs don't pay the way they have in the past. The average one-year jumbo CD yield is down 1 basis point to 0.34 percent. Also down 1 basis point, the average five-year jumbo CD yield is 1.12 percent.

For the 14th consecutive week, the average money market account yield is 0.13 percent.
