The average five-year CD yield ticked up 1 basis point to 0.82 percent. A basis point is one-hundredth of 1 percent. The typical one-year CD yield remained 0.25 percent for the fourth week in a row.
With a deposit of $100,000, you can purchase a jumbo CD. The average one-year jumbo CD yield gained 1 basis point to 0.28 percent. The average five-year jumbo CD yield was unchanged for the second week at 0.85 percent.
Now at 33 weeks in a row, the average money market account yield was unchanged at 0.11 percent.
