For bargain shoppers, February is about more than hearts and flowers. There are some good deals to be had, too. Plenty of items are on sale in February.
For many retailers, "it's not a heavy, heavy promotional month," says Daniel Butler, vice president of retail operations for the National Retail Federation. But shoppers will see specials for Valentine's Day and Presidents Day, as well as "some early spring sales," he says.
