  • 14.46% (all variable)

Credit card rates didn't budge again this week, according to Bankrate's latest survey of interest rates. The average annual percentage rate, or APR, for variable-rate credit cards remained at 14.46 percent for the fourth week in a row. The fixed APR stayed steady at 13.81 percent, where it has been since the first week of March.

The Federal Trade Commission on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against hotel company Wyndham Worldwide Corp. for failing to keep consumer credit card data safe and private. The government claims that security flaws at the hotel operator led to three security breaches in less than two years. That allegedly resulted in the export of information on hundreds of thousands of credit card accounts overseas, fraudulent charges on customers' cards and millions of dollars in losses, the FTC said in its complaint.
