Here's a look at the state of home equity rates from Bankrate.com's weekly national survey of large banks and thrifts conducted Dec. 8, 2010.
Loans based on home equity saw little movement in the latest Bankrate survey.
Home equity loans rose 1 basis point, to 7.09 percent. A basis point is one-hundredth of 1 percentage point.
Meanwhile, loans known as a home equity loan of credit, or HELOC, were unchanged at 5.49 percent.
