5 best job sectors for the months ahead
Looking to make a job change early in the year? You might be in luck. While not yet at pre-recession levels, the hiring outlook is looking up. Employment firm ManpowerGroup says 17 percent of U.S. employers plan to add workers in the first three months of 2014.
At the same time, 7 percent of those surveyed plan to cut staffing levels. A large majority, 73 percent, plan to maintain current staff levels. Another 3 percent "don't know."
Among the 50 states, North Dakota had the strongest prospects, while only Montana had a negative outlook.
