Collectors long ago glommed onto the 1957 Chevrolet
Bel Air convertibles in a big way.
Recently a '57 Bel Air with the fuel-injected
engine sold for more than $75,000, and now the 1958 model
is arcing above $50,000.
While not as iconic as those cars, the Impalas
of the mid to late 1960s could be bought with powerful V8s,
bucket seats, and all the sexy SS model trim.
Don't look for cars with the biggest V8s, 409
cubic inches and 427 cubic inches: They're already above $30,000.
But other potent models are still affordable.
