New and redesigned Cadillac SRX
Cadillac’s five-passenger, midsize crossover has been redesigned from the ground up — literally. A new front-wheel-drive platform replaces the former rear-wheel-drive model. (All-wheel drive remains optional.) On the outside, the SRX appears taller with eye-catching new lines and details. Inside, the changes are even more dramatic with an appealing sedan-like environment, high-quality appointments and a variety of attractive features, including versatile 60/40-split folding rear seats. Options include a navigation system, power liftgate and dual-screen backseat video system. Two engines are available: a 260-horsepower V-6 and a turbocharged 300-horsepower V-6. Both engines are matched to a six-speed automatic transmission, and drivers can engage a new “eco mode” to help maximize mileage. In addition to standard safety equipment, the SRX offers available adaptive headlights that swivel in the direction of a turn.
