Walmart is known as a shopping destination for affordable clothing, groceries and electronics. But you might not be aware that the retailer also offers a comprehensive range of financial services.
From credit and debit cards to money transfers, here are 13 financial services that the superstore offers.

1. Walmart credit card
The Walmart credit card boasts benefits such as no annual fee, $0 fraud liability and special financing offers. The card also grants you free access to your FICO Score.
Through Walmart’s 3.2.1 Save rewards program, cardholders automatically earn unlimited cash back rewards on select purchases, including 3 percent off purchases at Walmart.com. The reward savings are paid as a statement credit.

2. Walmart business credit card
If you’re a business owner, you can apply for Walmart’s business credit card. It’s issued by Synchrony Bank and can be easier to be approved for than some other business cards.
Each card comes with a number of perks. For example, MoneyCard offers cash-back rewards and free ASAP Direct Deposit, which means cardholders can receive their paycheck via direct deposit two days before payday and also get government benefits faster. Those who opt for Bluebird can send money via its mobile app for as low as $4. With Netspend, cardholders can enable Anytime Alerts to keep track of their balance via text message.
All three cards can be quickly refilled with Rapid Reload, a service that costs under $4.

4. Send and receive money
Walmart customers have several ways to transfer money to friends and family around the world.
Walmart2Walmart allows you to send money to any of the retailer’s locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico for a fee of $4 and up. To send money outside the U.S., customers can use the Walmart2World service offered through MoneyGram to send cash to any MoneyGram location in over 200 countries and territories. Transfers can be made at Walmart stores, or through the company’s app. Customers also have the option of using the MoneyGram network outside of the Walmart2World service.
To track a transfer, you simply need to enter your authorization or reference number along with your last name.

5. Gift cards
Walmart gift cards can be purchased in increments ranging from $5 to $500. The superstore also sells prepaid gift cards from Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as eCards for restaurants, entertainment/gaming services and retail businesses.
Additionally, employers can participate in Walmart’s corporate gift card program. Denominations are flexible and the cards can be redeemed in-store, online and at Sam’s Club.

6. Check cashing
Walmart’s check-cashing service encompasses pre-printed checks, payroll checks, government checks, tax checks and more. It costs $4 to cash a pre-printed check up to and including $1,000. For checks over $1,000 and up to $5,000, there’s an $8 fee.
If you choose to load your cash onto a Walmart MoneyCard, the usual reload fee will be waived.

7. Walmart Pay
Similar to Apple Pay, Walmart Pay is a cashless, cardless payment system.
For a quicker way to check out, download the Walmart Pay app on your phone, select the payment method you want to use (you can save card details for a credit, debit or gift card), set up a passcode, and pay using your phone by scanning the QR code generated by the PIN pad.

8. Express money services
With Mobile Express Money Services, a feature built into the Walmart app, customers can pay a bill, start a money transfer, and send money internationally and domestically through Walmart2Walmart, Walmart2World and MoneyGram.
There’s no extra fee to use this service.

9. Check printing
For personalized checks, look no further than Walmart’s check printing service. Plain designs start at $7.46 for a pack of 150 checks, while fancier designs, including checks bedecked with animal or pop culture backgrounds, begin at $8.46.
You can also upgrade to high-security checks, which cost $50.91 and up.

10. Tax preparation services
In 2018, Walmart partnered with Jackson Hewitt Tax Service to bring tax-prep services to about 3,000 of its stores. You can upload the necessary documents (such as W-2s and previous federal and state tax returns) in advance of your appointment by creating a MyJH account.

Stop by a Coinstar kiosk at your local Walmart store to exchange your coins for cash or a no-fee eGift card. You also have the option of turning your change into a charitable donation.

12. Bill Pay
Walmart’s bill-pay service is a one-stop shop for paying all your bills. More than 15,000 billers from auto finance, healthcare and other major industries participate in the service, which is offered online, in-store and through the Walmart app. Fees vary from biller to biller.

13. Money orders
Money orders, which offer the security of a check without the hassle of opening a checking account, are available at any Walmart Supercenter and Neighborhood Market.
Swing by the customer service desk or the Money Services Center to purchase one using cash or a debit card. Fees vary by location but cost a maximum of $0.88.
