We’re talking about pay raises, which often are discussed anywhere between one or two times a year, during an annual or bi-annual review. In 2019, the average salary increase is slated to be around 3.1 percent, according to data from advisory firm Willis Towers Watson.
In 2018, the federal minimum wage was $7.25 an hour, though some cities gave their employees quite the pay raise. Several cities in California and Seattle, for instance, made the list thanks to high costs of living.
