Ever wish that all-too-short vacation would never end?
One solution: Move to your favorite getaway location. Whether you’re beachcombing, reeling in trout, schussing down the slopes or having a great meal before seeing a show, you can enjoy it all whenever you want and without the added cost of airfare and hotels.
And while hotels in a popular tourist destination can be pricey, a home in the same place doesn’t necessarily have to cost a bundle.
Bankrate looked at a price range of roughly $220,000 to $250,000 and found five options in five hot vacation destinations. From a whitewashed bungalow on the sunny island of St. John to a cozy condo in a Colorado ski village, there’s something for just about everyone who’s ever wanted to make everyday life feel more like an extended escape.
