Since it became law three years ago, health insurance reform has gradually redrawn the face of health care in America. The speed of change will pick up dramatically on Oct. 1, when people can begin shopping for coverage through the states’ new insurance exchanges.
By next year, the vast majority of Americans will be required to purchase health insurance or face penalties. But though the big days are quickly approaching, many Americans remain confused about how the Affordable Care Act will work.
