Target offers gift cards in denominations ranging from $5 to $1,000. Cards can be purchased online or at a Target store. The retailer says it may charge a $1.95 fee for shipping.

Target gift cards have no expiration date, maintenance fees or purchase fees.

In addition to a physical gift card, Target sells cards in mobile and e-card formats. With the exception of mobile gift cards stored on the retailer’s smartphone app, cards are not reloadable.

In the case of loss or theft, Target will replace the card if you have the original receipt or the purchaser’s confirmation email as proof of purchase.
