The AT&T Access More Card from Citi is a great choice for AT&T customers because you’ll get 2x the points when you use your card to pay your AT&T cell phone and internet bill and when you purchase AT&T products. There’s no annual fee so you don’t have to worry about losing money if you don’t rack up the rewards points.

Overall, the AT&T Access More Card from Citi is an average card that offers low fees and run-of-the-mill rewards, unless you’re an AT&T customer or big online shopper. What stands out the most is the introductory offer coupled with no annual fee. For new cardholders that means 10,000 extra points after making $1,000 in purchases within 90 days.

The point value for this card is less than what you would get from some other Citi cards, like the Citi Prestige Card and the Citi Premier Card. Here one point equals one cent across the board, whereas the other cards value one point at 1.33 cents and 1.25 cents, respectively, depending on how they’re redeemed.

For AT&T customers, the you’ll earn points just for making payments on cell phone, cable and internet bills – money you would be spending anyway. You can also earn 2x points through some online retailers. All other purchases will get you 1 point per dollar.

If you spend a lot at the grocery store, then the Blue Cash Everyday Card from American Express is a much better option as you’ll earn 3x points per dollar. The Discover it® Cash Back is a smart choice for people who are focused on getting as many points as possible. With this card, you can get up to 5% cash back in bonus categories — the only drawback is that you have to keep track of their bonus calendar or you’ll miss out on the big rewards.

Other extras include some standard Citi card benefits like price protection; the Citi Private Pass, which gives you access to exclusive events; and Worldwide Travel Accident Insurance.

When it comes to rewards value, the Citi Double Cash Card ranks among the very best cash-back credit cards that charge no annual fee.

Why doesn’t this card receive a higher score from Bankrate? Because Citi Double Cash offers no sign-up bonus, it struggles to compete with many cards in this category.

In the long term, the Citi Double Cash Card may earn you more rewards. The card earns an unlimited 1% cash back when you make a purchase and another 1% back when you pay for those purchases. You may find this nets you more cash-back overall as there’s no ceiling on what you can earn back.
