Yields: 1.92 percent (1-year CD yield); 2.74 percent (5-year CD yield)

CD yields continue to lose ground this week, but not the stomach-churning drops we've seen in previous weeks. The average one-year CD yield fell 2 basis points this week to 1.92 percent, while the five-year yield lost 1 basis point and now pays 2.74 percent. Jumbos performed in a similar fashion.
Treasury yields for similar maturities saw similar declines on a one-week basis; although Treasury data shows those securities jumping around a much wider range of six or seven basis points on a daily basis during the week.
