  • 0.26% (1-year CD yields)
  • 0.84% (5-year CD yields)

Yikes, the yield on the benchmark five-year certificate of deposit fell again. That puts the average five-year CD yield 1 basis point lower than last week at 0.84 percent. Each basis point, or one-hundredth of a percentage point, is a little more mind-boggling.

The one-year yield is unchanged at 0.26 percent.

Yields on jumbo CDs were also unchanged. The average one-year jumbo CD yield is 0.3 percent. The five-year yield is 0.87 percent. A jumbo CD is available for deposits of $100,000.

For the eighth straight week, the average money market account yield is 0.12 percent.
