Rate the Frugal $ense tip
Double the Juice, half the sugar!
For a while, I bought into the fad of buying special kid juices advertised by Gerber to be a healthier choice for my toddler because it has less sugar and 100% fruit juice. I found that by buying bulk gallon apple juices, I can save money by watering it down with water with the same effect but double the quantity. With the magic of water, I cut the sugar by 50% and my daughter never noticed the difference. Most fruit juices are too sugary anyways so watering it down makes it a healthier choice for my family.
