I suppose if the father of your child is worth billions and you live in Manhattan, it wouldn't seem that unreasonable to ask for $46,000 a month in child support.

Since the case was settled this week out of court, we'll never know if supermodel Linda Evangelista got anywhere close to that amount from French luxury-goods magnate Francois-Henri Pinault. The two were together briefly in 2006 and have a 5-year-old son. According to Forbes, Pinault, who is now married to actress Salma Hayek and has a daughter with her, earns approximately $4 million a year. His family is worth $13 billion.
Raising a silver-spoon child doesn't come cheap, for sure. In her request for child support, Evangelista detailed expenses including armed bodyguards, tuition at the Lycee Francais private school and nannies round the clock.
Evangelista is certainly not the first celebrity to either seek or pay exorbitant child support. Actor Charlie Sheen was ordered to pay $55,000 a month for support of his twins with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, and music mogul Russell Simmons pays $40,000 per month for his two daughters with ex Kimora Lee Simmons.

father makes 4 million a year and his family is worth 13 billion. 46k a month, 552k/yr, is less than 14% of what he makes. he can afford it and should pay it. round the clock security and help adds up quickly. his kids are targets because of him. he should have been careful when he was spreading his "seed", sowing his oats out there.
I think it is time women take 1/2 of the responsibility for the support of the children. I am a woman and don't believe the mothers are taking the fair share. The laws need to change.
Heck, I can't even get the deadbeat I deal with to pay $242/week (for four kids) - doesn't work, and when he does, doesn't pay. In arrear to the tune of HER monthly c/s payment. WTF. To HER, my amouont is pocket change!! and it actually is!!
$46,000 per month in child support is ridiculous! She sounds like a greedy gold digger!
