The holiday season brings heart-warming memories -- but it can also leave a hole in your wallet.
So Bankrate wants to play Santa and hand out some cash in a frugal holiday tips contest!
Tell us how you make the holidays special without overspending. Your frugal holiday tip can be about anything from cooking and gift-giving to decorating and entertaining.
We'll award a $500 grand prize to the person with best frugal, festive tip and a $250 second-place prize.
Bankrate judges will determine the grand prize winner based on the creativity of the frugal holiday tip. The second-place winner will be chosen at random.
Entering is easy, and there are five ways to do it. Some entry methods will earn you more chances to win than others.

I always google what I'm going to be buying online to see if I can find a good deal on it somewhere
I love to buy when stores do specials (ie, kohls - $10 kohls cash for every $50 spent!)
Use your coupons and check adds for local drugstores, for saving's and or free things for stocking stuffers,cuts down on the cost.
Make a list with prices and stick with it. Don't overspend because you weren't prepared.
I don't buy wrapping paper, I always let my twins and oldest decorate newspaper, they have fun painting or I let them draw =]
Search online for deals before you shop.
I always google to see if there is any coupons for the grocery products I'm going to get for that week!
