More information from the restaurant has been posted on its website.
P.F. Chang's says its investigation is ongoing and encourages patrons to check its website for future updates. However, it also says the compromise has been contained and that it has been processing credit and debit card data securely at all locations since June 11, 2014.
The restaurant chain is offering identity protection services to guests who may have been affected by the breach.
"We regret any inconvenience this has caused our guests, and appreciate your patience throughout the investigation," Rick Federico, CEO of P.F. Chang's wrote in an email to loyalty program members on Monday.
Customers who think they may have been involved in P.F. Chang's or any other data breach should takes steps to protect themselves against identity theft. This includes setting up alerts and monitoring online billing statements for suspicious charges. They can also call the three credit reporting agencies to place a fraud alert on their credit report.
