Car aficionados at Pebble Beach in Carmel, California are ready for the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
Classic car and new car concept enthusiasts alike will have plenty to drool over.
While the highlight of the event is its top-notch classic cars typically worth millions, automakers also take the time to showcase some of their new cars and unveil concept cars of the future.
The BMW Vision Future Luxury (shown here) will make its North American debut here today at a special event. This unique concept car features an interior made from carbon fabric, aluminum, wood and leather, and technology such as a the Vision Head Up Display which can highlight real-world traffic signs, buildings or road hazards to direct the driver's attention as necessary as well as a detachable rear seat Touch Command Tablet that can communicate with the front seat occupant displays and run Internet-based video and music streaming.
Infiniti has taken a different approach to engaging Pebble Beach visitors. It is offering test drives of its complete line, including the Q50 sports sedan, QX60 Hybrid seven-passenger crossover, Q70L long-wheelbase luxury performance sedan and the QX80 Limited, its ultra-luxurious, full-size SUV. In addition, Infiniti partnered with Microsoft to create an interactive driving experience in its Q50 Eau Rogue, its concept sport sedan, on some of the world's most famous racetracks.
The grand finale of the festivities is the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, a highly-regarded collector car competition that takes places this Sunday, on the lawn of The Lodge at Pebble Beach. This year's event also features a display of the Maserati and Ruxton car brands, showcasing the best and most unique cars from each of the companies.
