Chase to hire 4,000 people

Attention, job hunters.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. has unveiled a new "careers" website that features information about what it's like to work at Chase Bank and listings of more than 4,000 open positions at the company.

The website aims to be a resource for job seekers as it includes not only information about careers at Chase and the company's benefits and corporate culture, but also tips to submit a job application and prepare for an interview to apply to work at Chase. Also online are video testimonials of real-life Chase employees, the company said in a statement.

The job openings are listed in 15 categories: accounting/finance, administrative, audit/risk, branch banking, collections, credit, customer service, human resources, marketing/communications, operations, product management, project management, real estate finance, sales and technology, offering a variety of openings for people with various skill sets and levels.

For instance, the description for job openings in branch banking says applicants should have a friendly and engaging personality, background in retail sales or customer service, ability to establish rapport with customers, strong listening and communication skills, and, preferably, experience handling cash in a work setting.

"Do you enjoy helping customers?" the website asks.

Specific positions are open for full-time and part-time tellers, personal bankers, and branch manager trainees in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Texas, New York and other states.

Job seekers likely will be disappointed that no salaries or salary ranges are posted.

Headquartered in New York, Chase already employs approximately 160,000 people in more than 60 countries.

Same 4000+ jobs they've had open for 5 years... I took a severance package from them so they blackballed me and wouldn't hire me, although I had 11 "Exceeds" appraisals over 11 years. When I found out there was fraudulent information in my personnel record, a senior MD claimed that it was removed and the file corrected, but we know better. After applying to over 100 jobs and not getting interviewed for any of them, I gave up. They may have 4000+ openings, but they are not too serious about filling them.
