Credit card rates for June 19, 2014

Credit card rates were mixed this week, according to Bankrate's latest survey of interest rates. I'm Doug Whiteman with your weekly look at credit card rates.

The average annual percentage rate for fixed-rate credit cards remained at 13.02 percent, while the APR for variable-rate cards rose 1 basis point to 15.61 percent.

It's the first move on the average rate for variable-rate cards since the second week of May, when the average APR moved down 1 basis point.

A recent survey by gauged frequent fliers' feelings about a number of programs. Southwest's program was the easiest for redeeming miles, US Airways came in on the opposite end of the spectrum. United had the most loyal customers and Delta was ranked as having the least friendly rewards website.
