CD rates did not fare well this week, according to Bankrate's regular survey.

The average one-year CD yield is down 1 basis point to 0.34 percent. A basis point is one-hundredth of 1 percentage point. The average five-year yield fell 2 basis points to 1.15 percent.

For deposits of $100,000, the average one-year jumbo CD yield fell 1 basis point to 0.38 percent. The typical five-year jumbo yield is down 1 basis point to 1.19 percent.

The average money market account dropped 1 basis point to 0.13 percent.
