Saturn Vue Green LineGeneral Motors puts its two-mode gas-electric hybrid system in a front-wheel-drive SUV, the 2009 Saturn Vue Green Line. The Vue links a 3.6-liter V-6 with a pair of electric motors rated at 55 kilowatts each. GM says fuel economy will be up to 50 percent better, compared to similarly equipped V-6 Vues. That should put city mileage at 24 mpg. Since hybrids don't do much to enhance highway mileage, the EPA estimate should be around 28 mpg. Prices haven't been announced.
