New for '09: Mitsubishi Eclipse
Mitsubishi Eclipse | | | |  | | The Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe gets a facelift for 2009 in an effort to give it a more aggressive look. The nose gives the Eclipse more of a relationship to the Lancer Evolution, which really is the performance leader in the Mitsubishi lineup. The base GS model retains its 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which makes 162 horsepower. The GT model's 3.8-liter V-6 is upgraded to 265 horsepower. The GS can be had with either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. The GT comes with either a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. Fuel economy is 20 mpg city, 28 mpg highway for the GS and 16 mpg city, 26 mpg highway for the GT. Prices range from a little more than $20,000 to about $25,000. | | |
